HOMEWORK: Pick something safe and easy to do a Pros and Cons list on and describe the experience of doing this exercise.

Going to the Dentist:

Pro:
-Ending my tooth pain
-Finding out the state of my teeth
-Finding out if I need work done
-Having work done before my teeth worsen
-My mother can lend me the money if need be
-The dentist I usually see gives me discounts
-I want good teeth

Con:
-Can be very expensive
-Fear of what the dentist would find out
-Having work done on teeth not bothering me, feeling like a waste of money
-Can't afford with my own money right now if there is a cavity (there were 2)

I did end up going to the dentist and it lessened my anxiety finding out what was wrong and it wasn't too bad. My mother lent me the money and I'm slowly paying her back.

I went to the dentist today. I didn't get a cleaning, but I was specifically getting the tooth section checked out that had been hurting me when I eat chewy foods. I could tell there was something wrong by running my tongue over the area between two teeth. It turned out that a filling of mine had degraded a bit and there was a small hole between two teeth. The dentist took out my smaller filling (both teeth surrounding the hole had fillings) and replaced it with a filling that filled the little hole. He also checked the rest of my teeth and they looked good! So I don't have to make any more appointments and the problem is solved. I was afraid my whole bank account would be emptied over this dentist appointment (I feared having a lot of cavities), but all of it cost me under $200! I'm very pleased about this all:-)

I have to go to the dentist soon:-( I've been putting it off, but my mother worries my cavities will need root canals if I wait too long. I hope that's not already an issue... Several teeth of mine hurt from time to time, but one of them especially. Anything chewy is terrible. I'm really hoping it all won't be too expensive. I'm trying to save up for an eye appointment to get more contacts and I'm afraid they'll want to also change my glasses prescription if I go in and they don't test me with my glasses (I see much more clearly -- especially typing -- with my glasses than with my contacts, even though they are the same prescription). I definitely don't want new lenses for my glasses. Unfortunately I still let financial worries get to me. I probably won't see someone about my eyes for a few more months, so that's more time to save money.

I'm still sleeping a ton. It's ridiculous. I took an extra Klonopin last night and it helped me to feel at peace again. Though I had a weird, intense dream.

Brief Mention of R*pe )

I think my eyesight is getting worse. That's terrible:-( Glasses are so expensive for me... My eyes stopped worsening with contacts, but I've been using glasses lately and I think my sight is worsening again (I was recommended to wear contacts to stop my eye changes, which they did, but I also needed eye surgery due to scarring from (soft) contacts. I also sometimes have sensitive teeth, so I really hope I don't have cavities. Maybe I will eventually switch to a dental school due to the expensive. I just worry about them messing up the numbing of my mouth.

Ouch

I think my wisdom teeth are finally coming in. The back of my mouth is really sore all of a sudden. I was told that I would need to have them removed, so I guess that means I have to go to the dentist soon. Yuck:P
