I'm back from Alaska. The trip went well, though I miss
sand_piper terribly now. My cats got depressed when I was gone, as they always do, and didn't eat that much. They both slept on my legs last night, right next to each other, even though they usually don't get along.
However, Lucrezia's eyes now look watery and swollen! I have to ask my mother when this seemed to happen. I didn't even notice it when I first got back. She hasn't had allergies in the past, I don't think. I don't know what could be wrong with her or how serious this is. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would really appreciate it. Even if I have to take her to a vet, I'd like to have an idea of maybe what could be causing this.

Date: 2007-09-17 03:52 am (UTC)From:As for Lucrezia's eyes...it's possible she might have caught a cold, or perhaps something in the house is irritating her (i.e., dust). Cats can develop allergies randomly at any time just like people can so it could be that. Most of the time when I've seen cats with watery eyes, they've turned out to have some kind of respiratory infection, so that could be it as well. Don't take my word for anything, though -- I am not a vet. Maybe
Also, I watched "The Last Unicorn" last night (I'd never seen it before) and it made me think of you. :)
