Just an Explanation

Sometimes I haven't been editing my posts before posting them, which can be an issue because I drop words or use an adverb when I mean an adjective, and various other issues like that. Normally I love editing, but sometimes I get in moods where it's stressful to think about writing at all. I get something in my head I can't move past until I've tried to translate it into concrete written/typed words. Often that results in me compromising and writing up a post quickly so I can mentally move forward, but there are scattered errors. I'm going to try and get back into editing regularly because I don't like having tons of errors in my writing and I want people to understand me. Nobody commented on the issue, I've just been going back and editing my posts days later recently, and I was doing that again today, so I thought I would mention it.

Wow, that's terrible they would put you in that position! I really don't get it, even if she does have anxiety:-/ I hope you didn't get sick and you start feeling better:(

i could have sworn i got that icon from you! lol. well in any event, you are free to use it to, if it wasnt yours to begin with.

Anyway, so the latest is that the wife part of the couple isnt speaking to me. I called them and they are staying with some relative kind of near here. The husband sounds friendly but says the wife "might not be up to seeing" me. But he wasnt sure. I could hear her in the background and it pisses me off that she wont just speak to me or let me explain. I know her really well so I knew not to bother trying to get her on the phone. She wont even talk to me on the phone when shes NOT mad.

I wrote them a letter explaining my feelings and what occured. I apologized, but mostly explained my position.

I think it would be very petty and mean of her if she refuses to hang out with me. She will be punishing all of her, including her husband and daughter, if she won't let this go.

To be honest, if she holds a grudge over this or refuses to see me, I honestly don't think I will speak to her anymore. I have been a great and giving friend to them for MANY YEARS and i think I deserve some understanding.sorry for ranting so much but thanks for listening!

Don't feel bad for talking about it; I would be upset too:)

I just don't know why she had to go to this extent to make trouble... I am uncomfortable being in strange people's houses, too, but if she wasn't willing to pay for a hotel, unless you were trying to put her in someplace unsafe or something, she should have just accepted what you have to offer:-/

That happens to me all the time. It makes it really difficult when I have to write something for school or someone/place else :(

When I write a longer text, I always hear to it afterwards with the text-to-speech that I have on my computer, it helps me to find illogical things in my text. If you are interested, there is a free one :

With school I could get really into editing and would feel calmer and more emotionally distant with re-reading, but I definitely skip effective editing with people in emails if I'm really emotional.

yeah... I totally relate to being shy in strangers houses or whatever, but I really tried to pave the way for her. I introduced her to my dad, siblings and stepmom and everyone was so welcoming to her. I also had other places she could have stayed, the best friends of our family have a forking mansion, and they could have had the entire top floor to themselves. But she is only "comfortable" at my house even though I am not "comfortable" with it, and explained that many times over the past, like, 5 years.

*laughs* oh well. they can kiss my butt I guess.

Me too, when I'm listening to people, but when I read my text and at the same time listen to it, that makes a difference for me, when both reading and listening at the same time, I get (understand) things so much faster. Therefore I mostly read my f-page in combination with listening to it.
