Babysitting Cats

I'm babysitting a rather big, young cat and a kitten for friends on vacation. I had to eventually take Lucrezia and Mrs. Bates over to my mother's house because they were blocking the big cat into my bedroom, keeping him stranded under my bed:-( I was really worrying he was going to urinate under my bed, so my cats had to leave. Slowly he emerged, though he's still really skittish and usually in hiding. The kitten comes out sometimes to play with me, but she's scratched me up a ton from when she gets started (she's still skittish, too, just not as much as the other cat, who will hide unless I ignore him). It's really nice being around a kitten again. She jumps up all the time to rub against my hand. The last time we had a kitten was when Lucrezia was a baby, nearly 13 years ago.

Awww. Poor Cheeseball! :( He seems to want to get along with other cats, but of course the other cats have to want to get along with him as well (my mom's cats don't seem to want to get along with any other cats). As for Marshmallow, she scratches everyone up, but then again, Cheese used to do that as well when he was younger. I guess it's a kitten thing.

:( He's probably just scared because he's in an unfamiliar place. I told Phil about what you posted earlier and he said that maybe he's scared that we are abandoning him.
