Our Cat Gretchen Died

Our cat who has been sick, Gretchen, died in the middle of the night. She had always been sleeping on my brother/on his futon as she got weaker and weaker. She couldn't eat or drink. When my mother tried to wipe her eyes with a wet washcloth she started suckling it, so my mother gave her some syringes of water. She couldn't walk. The dog went and sniffed at her and then backed away. She was the last cat my mother had in her house. It's very sad.
