I know what you are saying. I have been asked if I need a new jacket. I look at the one I have on and I have a jacket so why would I need a new one. It works. It keeps me warm. Needing and wanting things are so confusing to others. They think they need things that they want. They use the words incorrectly. I totally agree with you on the concept of needing something.
