actually 60% if not more of what you hear of your own voice is heard through the sound reverberating through your cheekbones/jaw/etc. to your ear drums which changes the sound completely. This is why when a person hears themself on a recording they are usually shocked at how their voice sounds. (Keeper of useless information at your service)

Do people usually then hear their voice as deeper than it really is? That would make sense... I still feel my voice sounded deeper on recording too, back a few years.
