365 Day Meme: day 143: how important do you think education is?

I think education is important, but not everyone should need or seek out an advanced degree if they don't want to. As long as they can read and write and do basic math and anything else to get along in life that is fine. I don't think everyone wants to be in academia or should be prepared for such if they don't want to.
